What types of earmuffs can be divided into?
Personal protective equipment that protects people's hearing from strong noise damage. If it is technically or economically difficult to take noise reduction measures, using ear protectors is the most economical and effective way.　

The types can be divided into three categories: earbuds, earmuffs and noise-proof helmets:
(1) Earplugs: can be inserted into the external auditory canal or inserted into the entrance of the external ear canal, suitable for noise environments below 115dB. It has two types: plastic and non-plastic. Plastic earbuds are made of wax-impregnated cotton yarn, soundproof glass wool, plasticine and other materials. Users are free to shape it and use each piece once or several times. Non-plastic earbuds, also known as "universal earbuds", are made of plastic, rubber and other materials, and have a variety of specifications of different sizes. China has made dozens of kinds of earbuds.

(2) Earcups: a device shaped like a headset that covers the ears on the bow frame to attenuate the noise. The noise attenuation of the earmuffs can reach 10~40dB, which is suitable for environments with high noise, such as shipyards, metal structure factory processing workshops, engine test benches, etc. In recent years, some countries have also fixed earmuffs to welding masks or combined with communication headsets or headphones.　Earbuds and earmuffs can be used alone or in combination. The combination can increase the noise attenuation by 5~15dB compared with the use alone.

(3) Anti-noise helmet: can protect most of the head, such as adding earmuffs, the anti-noise effect is better. This helmet has anti-noise, anti-collision, cold-proof, anti-storm, anti-shock wave and other functions, suitable for strong noise environment, such as shooting range, tank compartment interior and other high noise, high shock wave environment.

Use and precautions for earbuds
1. When wearing all kinds of earbuds, first pull the pinna upwards to make the ear nail cavity straight, and then hold the earbud handle, gently push the earbud cap body part into the external ear canal, and make the earbud body fit the ear nail cavity as much as possible. But don't push too hard or insert too deeply, it's appropriate to feel moderate about yourself.
2. When you feel poor sound insulation after wearing, you can turn the earbuds slowly and adjust them to the best position. If the effect is still not good after repeated adjustment, you should consider switching to other models of earbuds to choose the best one to set the shape for use.
3. When wearing foam plastic earplugs, the round letter body should be rubbed into a conical body and then stuffed into the ear canal, so that the plug body can spring back on its own and fill the ear canal.
4. Wearing silicone rubber self-molded earplugs, the left and right plugs should be clearly distinguished, and cannot be mistaken; When inserting the ear canal, turn it slightly to put it in the right position so that it fits snugly into the ear nail cavity.
